Common concerns include joint hypermobility, posture shifts, muscle weakness, swelling, or pain after prolonged labor, cesarean delivery, or episiotomy. Our women’s health physical therapists at Savannah Pelvic Health and Wellness LLC in Pooler are trained to manage these pregnancy-related issues, providing safe, effective treatment to relieve discomfort and support your body throughout pregnancy and postpartum recovery.Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation
The pelvic floor muscles form a supportive sling from the pubic bone to the tailbone. These muscles can become weak, tight, or dysfunctional due to pregnancy, childbirth, surgery, or other trauma.
Pelvic floor dysfunction can lead to bladder issues, pain, and daily activity limitations. Our pelvic floor specialists provide comprehensive evaluations, including muscle strength testing, endurance assessments, sensation checks, and myofascial trigger point testing. Both external and internal evaluations may be included, based on your comfort and symptoms.
Your personalized treatment plan may involve:
- Behavior modification and lifestyle strategies
- Therapeutic exercises to strengthen or release pelvic floor muscles
- Pain management techniques for lasting relief

Success Stories & Testimonials

If I could give Jasmine 10 stars, I truly would. Jasmine is one of the people I owe a huge thank you to for helping me along my journey of having a vba3c. The pelvic therapy was a huge factor in me successfully giving birth to my baby girl. She made sure she listened to my concerns and she made sure that I was well prepared for birthing my baby. She is absolutely wonderful and has an amazing spirit!

Very impressed with Dr. Jasmine Polk. She is incredibly knowledgeable and very kind and encouraging. I am hopeful to make the progress I need to after having the birth of my son.

Dr. Polk is an amazing therapist who incorporates an array of manual therapy techniques to help you heal your pelvic floor issues & get you back to its prior functions. If you’re pregnant and are in pain you NEED to see her ASAP. I went to her twice during my recent pregnancy. My last visit with her I was in so much pain and wasn’t due for another week. I could tell my belly dropped and I wasn’t in excruciating pain after seeing her. I went into labor the next day & birthed my baby two days after I saw her. All in all, a perfectly positive experience with Dr. Polk. 10/10 recommend!
